I want to share with you a lovely project that my friend Dalilah has started down South.
Please share and support what she is trying to do - Johanna
I am super excited about a special little project I am embarking on between now and the end of October.
Most of us know someone or know of someone who is going through or has gone through breast cancer. Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I wanted to do something special for those ladies who are going through treatment for this awful disease.
But to be honest not just breast cancer, anyone who is receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy and battling cancer right now.
I have created a gorgeous care package that will help make some of the nasty side effects from the harsh treatment regimes so many people are subjected to just a little bit easier
- An aluminium free deodorant – many charities recommend that women should consider aluminium free underarm products;
- An aloe based lip balm to help sore lips that can be so common during treatment;
- Aloe Vera gel to help with burns, sores and scars;
- Some aloe blossom tea to help soothe and relax & an alcohol free hand sanitiser
Each bag can be sponsored for £20 either by one person or why not buddy up with someone and sponsor a bag between you.
All I ask is each sponsor to send a note of love or hope or encouragement to the stranger who will receive it.
I want to give back directly to patients who are experiencing treatment right now who could do with a little smile as they complete their treatment.
I will get these passed onto patients at The Chemotherapy Unit @ East Surrey Hospital unless you have someone in mind and then of course you can deliver direct to the person you know
This is a non-profit campaign.
